Social Justice

Regular participation in H.O.P.E (Help Other People Eat) includes donations of food, money, and members' time. Special gifts are made each year to local shelters and other community organizations. The Social Action Task Force has identified projects including Adult Literacy, Children's Tutoring, Kids and Violence, Multi-culturalism, and the Environment in which they will become involved. Atkinson also contributes to the Unitarian Universalist Service Committee, a human rights organization, and to Congregational mission projects.
