Scott Borduin joined Atkinson
in 2001 along with his wife, Cay, and two boys, Stu and Jake. They
moved to Oregon in 1992 and plan to stay and grow old here. Scott
left his long-time work in the software profession in 2005 to co-found
Democracy Talking, a small non-profit organization dedicated to improving
public policy through grass roots conversation, collaboration, and
education. Scott enjoys his volunteer work as Atkinson web master,
food gopher for Helping People Eat, and school classroom helper. Scott
was raised in a conservative Evangelical Christian tradition, and
now believes strongly in the UU marriage of compassionate values with
personal reason and conscience. He looks forward to helping Atkinson
grow as a congregation, and expand its impact in the larger Oregon
City and Porland communities.
